Alaskan business has changed dramatically over the last 10 years and so have our communication needs.
Because of this migration of needs we are very excited to announce that our parent company UIC
(Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation, the Barrow Based ANSCA business) will be merging Wire-Comm.’s
Communication Division with Ukpik. LLC a sister subsidiary also focused on telecommunication equipment
and services. This change will create the Alaskan Division of Ukpik. LLC (formerlly Wire-Comm. Communications
Division) beginning August 1, 2006.
This opportunity to partner with Ukpik, LLC (a $20M annual company with 120 technicians staffed throughout
the US.) to create the Alaskan Division will combines the 30 years of Alaskan Communication experience of
Wire-Comm., together with the National telecommunication services and intellectual property presence of
Ukpik’s Aurora Group Telecomm.. By offering multiple product lines, including NEC, Nortel, and Avaya we
will continue to be the leader in total communication solutions to organizations throughout Alaska, The US,
and the World.

We are not going to change our rates in the near future. We are very competitive at the current levels and have held
them steady for approximately the past 4 years. Costs have risen, but our focus has been to increase business to

All payments should match the invoice from which it has been created. Since both companies are owned by UIC,
our accounting department will have the ability to credit the proper account. PLEASE ensure to reference
the correct invoice number on all payments.

NO! All companies get nervous when changes like these take place. This is a natural migration of these 2 separate
communication divisions with in UIC. The combination will provide increased offerings and increased customer service.

YES! Since both Wire-Comm. and Ukpik are owned by UIC these contracts (as well as all contracts) are still valid and
provide the excellent (and unmatched) security assurance for our clients.
